About

The Go To Gay Guy, Dean Hervochon

I’m a “Life Style Enhancer” —  I’ve paid attention and it has served me and my friends well!  Being a gay kid growing up in “trailer community” in Southern New Mexico, it was imperative for me to be observant of all that was going on around me — I wanted to live!  That early “survival training” imprinted me and I’ve used it every day of my life.  I’ve paid attention to details, nuances and appreciate “what works”  —and what doesn’t.  I’ve learned a lot of things…the hard way.  The really hard way!  Believe me, I wish someone had shared their hard-fought wisdom and style me years ago.  That’s why I started this blog.  For you.

I’ve got a knack for looking at something and asking myself: How can it be better or improved? Can I make it more useful? More beautiful? Sexier? Can I get that cheaper and not sacrifice quality?  What is going to be the problem if I do that? My expertise and point of view has been shaped by many fine people, both straight and gay.  We usually don’t learn from ourselves.  Enjoy the blog!  Let me know what you think!  I mean that!

Finally, if you want to post something on this blog, contact me!  I’d love to have guest bloggers who have something of value to share.  You don’t have to be gay or straight, you’ve got to have something to share with others that will make their lives “more fabulous!”

What does your site do? I mean, are you a courier service, maybe you should have in your header that you are not a delivery man because “go to” means you get things right? I think if you want to be successful you should make that clear and change the name of your business because I don’t understand. It does, as you know, only matter if little old me understands that you are not a delivery man.

Oh Suzie, I won’t be changing the name of my website because you don’t understand what it means….yet! You’ll get it! I’m sure you’ll figure it out. And yes, I deliver! Keep coming back! Thanks, Dean

Hi Dean,
I was just close to buy numerous products from Alpha Hydrox according to your dermatologists recommendation, however, when I checked with the safe cosmetic data base I was shocked to see the hazard level of 4-8 which is moderate to high and really concerning? What is your thought about this? Do you know of any safer alternatives? Thank you.

Dean,
Just found you recently due to the Oprah/Lancer products-love your suggestions..and its done in such style!
I have an inexpensive way to wow those who love orchids. I design jeweled orchid & plant support stakes. How is it that we have not thought of embellishing our plants before this? Just when you thought that orchid plant could not be any prettier. A great gift as well. Remember, “Life is too short to stake your plant with a simple wooden stick.” Check it out. http://www.botanistix.com
Keep up the good work!

I’m so glad I searched dr. lancers products and didn’t go and buy them because I found this site instead! Thanks for the cheaper options! Your site rocks! I was just curious, do you get paid for promoting these products? If not ,You should! Thanks again, you saved me some serious dough.

Hi,
I love your website!
Your advice is amazing, as well as extremely helpful.
I have a request that you may or may not be able to provide.
I am looking for a 5-6 inch black plastic hair claw.
I have looked everywhere, and thought you might be able to help me.
Thank you for your time.
Best,
Susan

Hi Dean,
I love your blog, and yes I found it when searching for lancer skin care, ha!! So…I was seduced by a significant sale on CVS brand beauty products while waiting for a prescription. I bought the knock-off version of Roc retinols. I have been trying to find retinol concentrations of generics vs. leading brands available on store shelves, and keep coming up empty.
Any input or insight would be great. I saved a ton of cash, but am I just kidding myself into thinking I have the same product?
Thank you!

Hey Dean,

Cool site. You are quite the entrepreneur. You are a little far from Chaparral …not in Kansas anymore. Please drop me a note on my email rather than facebook. I have some information for you that you may find important.

Hey Dean,
Don’t know if you remeber me- it’s Ima Jean- from that “Little trailer town” in Chaparral, New Mexico? Nick Cortese said you had twitter, or e-mailed or something to him and he was asking me if I had remembered you! Yes- I remember- a prom date, and high school memories??? He told me about your web site- thought I would say hello! Jean
